Abstract :
In this paper, we present two new opportunistic cooperation schemes that are referred to as the SDC-based (selection diversity combining based) and the MRC-based (maximum ra-tio combing based) opportunistic cooperation, respectively. The closed form expressions of outage probability for the proposed opportunistic cooperation schemes are also derived for Rayleigh fading channels. For the purpose of comparison, the outage analysis of the known deterministic cooperation is further provided, with the numerical results justifying the advantage of our schemes over the deterministic cooperation. Besides, we conduct a performance comparison between the MRC-based opportunistic cooperation and the SDC-based opportunistic cooperation, showing the merits of the former scheme in terms of outage probability.
