  • Abstract
    A novel flat-panel structure for FED is proposed, in which the carbon nanotube cathode is mounted directly on the base plate with elastic assembling technology and the vacuum package is fabricated with some VFD-like process technologies. This structure and the corresponding technologies are stable and reliable at a modest cost. FED samples of this structure with basic functions are demonstrated
