Abstract :
In order to analyze the dynamic performance and estimate fuel cost of automobile in the city streets, a simulation model of automobile is constructed and examined. Then the driver comfort is optimized by using this model. To better evaluate the driving characteristics of automobile in the city, the fuzzy logic method simulating the driver´s handing process is introduced. A few fuzzy driving rules based on multiple inputs and outputs of human driver are used to control the system. The automobile changes throttle and shifts gears using fuzzy logic according to the changing traffic condition. Results show that the dynamic model considering clutch is -more accurate and the fuzzy logic system effectively simulates the car driving in the street.
