  • Abstract
Software defined radio (SDR) is one of the important technologies for the modern wireless communication system. By moving radio functionality into software that has previously been implemented in hardware, SDR changes wireless communication system to great extend. This paper gives a detailed state of the concept of SDR, and then analyzes some key aspects of designing SDR, such as tools for software development, hardware design, and modular architecture, and so on.
