  • Abstract
This paper presents a remote vehicle diagnosis system that not only be used in vehicle diagnosis and maintenance, but also performs well in the vehicle development and enterprise management. As diversities of physical layer and data link layer protocols are widely used in the automotive electrical systems, a general protocol electrical level transfer circuit is designed and solidified software for the protocols conversion is developed. In order to offer remote help, a remote vehicle diagnosis and maintenance center is build. Moreover, a set of computer software which consists of various modules is developed for remote server and front server, based on the Internet. It is precisely because that, the system has a high degree of scalability and interoperability. At last, the performance of each module is tested on the vehicles, and the results show the communication of this system is reliable, and the diagnostic results are accurate.
