  • Abstract
    This paper proposes a custom-design method of 2-D isotopic non-orthogonal dyadic wavelets for edge, line and texture detection. Based on the method, a set of wavelet filters that with minimum size of 3×3 and a bank of 2-D wavelet packets are presented. The filters can greatly speed up wavelet decomposition and reconstruction and the packets can strictly distinguish between multiscale textures of an image. Some experimental results are given in this paper
