Abstract
This paper proposes a new procedure, which provides dynamic blood flow functions objectively and quantitatively. The procedure employs the analytical signal produced by time-density curve using Hilbert transformation. From the analytical signal the amplitude and the phase component can be extracted. Temporal parametric images are constructed by specifying the desired phase value which corresponds with the arrival time of contrast medium. Clinical evaluation was performed using selective coronary angiographic images. From the temporal parametric images the blood flow of coronary stenosis infarction can be detected quantitatively by color coded images which indicate the arrival time of the contrast medium. The application of this new technique in clinical practice may improve the reliability of diagnosis of the blood flow functions.
