Abstract :
Circuit techniques for wireless transmission of power and data to implantable biomedical microsystems are discussed and described. These circuits perform voltage rectification, voltage regulation, data reception using amplitude and frequency shift keying (ASK, FSK) techniques, and data transmission using FSK and analog frequency modulation (FM). Challenges in designing these circuits using standard CMOS technologies and in integrating passive components are discussed.
