Abstract :
Seismic migration in the frequency domain using the phase-shift method is a computationally efficient solution of the wave equation. The authors introduce a parallel phase-shift algorithm. This parallel version is implemented on the NCUBE multiprocessing system to solve the wave equation in the frequency domain. Performance issues, some task partitioning strategies, and computation/communication tradeoffs are discussed
