Abstract :
Wooden wheel is the indispensable part of ancient vehicles. Its exquisite design conception and meticulous interframe structure are amazing. By taking an ancient wheel as a typical case, the basic structure of the wooden wheel is studied; the aspects of design theory, visual patterns, material technology and design culture etc. are also analyzed. In the end, the essence of the ancient wooden wheel design and its effects on modern design are summarized.
