Abstract :
This paper argues organizational trust and how it relates to supply chain performance. Many Chinese firms are hesitant to engage in e-commerce transactions due to a lack of trust with business. An experiment that included over 200 subjects was conducted using firms of stock market. This study validates a three-dimensional scale of supply chain performance in the context of an emerging logistics market. We show the influence of a two-dimensional scale of organizational trust on these dimensions of supply chain performance. A structural equation modeling approach is used to investigate our hypotheses. Empirical results of this study provide evidence from emerging logistics market on how organizational trust influences positively supply chain performance.
