Abstract
A new method which extends circuit level mixed frequency-time (MFT) method for quasi-periodic steady-state simulation to multilevel modeled circuits is presented. The extension is made possible by the use of a analog multi-level simulator iMACSIM and the use of Broyden´s method to solve the boundary value equations. It is rigorously shown that the new method efficiently allows top-down design and simulation of a class of mixed signal and RF circuits in a unified CAD environment with component models at several levels of abstraction. Other advantages are that it requires significantly less matrix computation and storage than previously used method, and that it can be implemented easily around any transient simulation program. It also supports IEEE VHDL-AMS design methodology
