Abstract :
A new method of fast modeling conceptual model with irregular complicated surfaces is presented for fast and good design. Based on a poly surface that is transferred from a NURBS surface, the 3-D model is established through a 2-D image corresponding to the conceptual complicated surface utilizing the opacity and displacement processes, also with the surface adjustment of Surface Mapper(WSM)-3D Max commend. Experimental results show that this method of modeling can achieve the conceptual model with irregular complicated surfaces in a short time and with less data quantity.
