Abstract :
To meet the increasing demands of prototype testing of synchronous generators, a novel testing system using virtual instrumentation technology is designed and implemented on LabVIEW platform. It consists of control computer, sensors, signal regulation, conversion modules and PXI data acquisition module. This system can easily and gradually control the workload of the generator and accurately measures the required testing parameters; analyze performance of the generator at different working conditions; store and manage the test data, and display the test result in graphic or reports. The actually result show that the test system is highly efficient and reliable.
