Abstract :
Facing the monitoring demand to the progress of key project using remote sensing technology, the Beijing-Tianjin inter-city railway project (Beijing South Railway Station) was taken for example and the high resolution remote sensing image of 2005 (before project) and 2007 (in project) were used as data source. At first, we built land-use classification index system. Then land-use information of South station and its surrounding was extracted using object-oriented method, which provided data basis for the monitoring and evaluation of key project. Results show that: the object oriented method has a much higher precision and efficiency than the traditional information extraction methods with classification accuracy 85.98% and 92.92%, Kappa coefficient 0.824 and 0.9085 respectively.
