Abstract :
Some improving methods are proposed concerning the existing problem of flickermeter. Firstly, the system error of flickermeter is tested by the simulation of voltage fluctuation with different frequencies that are provided by IEC. The error expression is obtained by polynomial fit. The instantaneous flicker sensation level S(t) is corrected by the mean of correction curve. Then, by calling function module of Matlab in LabVIEW, the parameters of digital filter can vary according to different sampling frequencies. Finally, the results of simulation experiment in LabVIEW show that the improved methods for design of flikermeter are feasible. And the experiment results of the Real Time Digital Simulator (RTDS) also indicate that the improved flikermeter possesses some characteristics such as flexibility of sample frequency, high accuracy of measurement, etc.
