Abstract :
Real estate investors nowadays request more and more high-performance buildings to be competitive on the market and to deliver its users the highest convenience. To present the convergence of telephony (SIP VoIP), Internet services via WLAN and digital TV this paper shows the interaction of state of the art last mile access technologies (WLAN, FSO, fiber optics) in combination with high (HDTV) and low (SDTV) resolution multimedia signals during a test setup. Advantages and disadvantages of the used technologies in this special case will be shown and discussed.
