Abstract :
Currently, new decoration style is increasingly popular in product design. In this paper, the historical changes of modern decorative design are reviewed briefly, and the reasons for the ¿rise-fall-rerise¿ trend of decorative design are analyzed. Specifically, this study focuses on the application of new decoration style in product design and, by the case studies on the expressions combining minimalist form with rich decoration details, the expressional themes with strong romantic fantasy and classical feelings as well as the application of new materials & techniques, sums up the integrated features of new decoration style in modern product design.
