  • Abstract
The genome of an organism contains all hereditary information encoded in DNA. So it is extremely important to sequence the genome which determines how the organisms survive, develop and multiply. Since three decades, due to massive efforts on DNA sequencing, complete genome sequence of a large number of organisms including humans are now known and the genomic databases are growing exponentially with time. Also for the huge size of the genomes, an efficient algorithm is required to represent them. Effective representation of long DNA sequences has led to several innovative techniques to provide useful ways of viewing, sorting, analyzing, and comparing various sequences. Some two-dimensional (2D) graphical representations of DNA sequences have been given by Gates, Nandy, Leong and Mogenthaler, Randic, and Liao et al., which give visual characterizations of DNA sequences. In some cases it may be easy and better to use graph in place of tables for data representation but it is not the case always. In this paper, we introduce a nondegeneracy 2D graphical representation of DNA sequence In this paper, we are proposing a new kind of techniques to remove these contradictions for the better representation and analysis of the DNA sequences, in which we are using tables for sequence representation. It has four nucleic acid bases (a, t, g, c} in DNA sequences, and their position in the sequence. This paper gives a example to illustrate the efficiency of the method. It is shown that the new representation of DNA sequences has less or no degeneracy. This method is very helpful for sequence matching and analysis.
