Abstract :
A new kind of photonic crystal filter with two ports is proposed aiming at the requirement of high transmission in optic communications system. This kind of filter consists of ring resonator and rectangle dielectric rods in air host. We investigate the transmission property of two ports by using finite element method (FEM), and simulation results show that high transmission coefficient can be obtained after optimization. In addition, the position of resonant wavelength can be modulated by changing the diameter of scattering rods.
