Abstract :
The Greifswalder Bodden is a marginal water of the Baltic Sea. The basin is characterized by extremely shallow water with a mean water depth of 4 m and a complex topography. This requires a coupling of small scale numerical wind, wave and current models. The authors show that in this scale it is necessary to use complex structured wind fields calculated by a highly sophisticated wind model. The results of the model system will be used to receive a better understanding of transport and exchange processes
