  • Abstract
    In this paper the design and performance of an electromechanical sigma-delta modulator for acceleration measuring systems is presented. It has been designed by a top-down system approach and is based on a piezoelectric measuring cell integrated in the first stage of a second order continuous-time sigma-delta modulator. It aims at a working range of ±1 g and 8-bit resolution. The spotted application is in vibration measurement
