Abstract
In this paper, the authors attempt to control the nonlinear power control system for resistance spot welders as a fully linearized system by applying the recently developed nonlinear feedback linearization techniques based on differential geometry theories. The controller in this paper is computationally simple. In addition, easy gain tuning as well as high dynamic performance of resistance spot welding systems can be obtained. To illuminate the performance of their controller further, the authors present some simulation results
