Abstract
The US Department of Defense (DoD) depends on Information Systems to deliver various capabilities to all stakeholders in fighting wars and keeping peace. The DoD is one of the largest if not the largest geographically dispersed organizations in the world and securing its information network is a challenging undertaking due to its global influence and attractiveness to hackers around the world. This analysis investigates how to optimize processes in order to deliver capabilities for secure information sharing environment. It is understood that Digital Policy Management (DPM), real-time monitoring in addition to crypto-binding and intelligent access controls are basic requirements for secure information sharing in a net-centric environment. The complexity of the environment is related to the changing requirements and the way components are built under different authorities to counter a fluid threat environment. We introduce many of the new technology components that need to be fielded to secure the enterprise. The goal of our contemporary IT systems is to enable that automatic data discovery across multiple domains sharing tools and information. This paper investigates the System of Systems (SoS) architecture models to determine best-of-breed approach to the implementation of distributed, multi-domain, multisystem of systems cloud infrastructures.
