A unified approach to generalized sampling theorems

A generalized sampling theorem with real pulse is proposed. The theorem includes, as its special cases, the sampling theorem with ideal pulse, with nonuniformly spaced sample points, for band-pass functions, for functions of several variables, for general integral transforms, for over sampling, and for under sampling. For under sampling, the theorem provides the best approximation to the individual original signal.
