Abstract :
A number of signal processing applications exist for which the implementation of a uniform bank of digital filters is desirable. Such filter banks are often implemented in a highly efficient polyphase manner. Previously, the multirate polyphase realizations were restricted to sample-rate alterations, which are related to the multiplicity of channels in the bank. A polyphase formulation is presented for uniform filter banks with arbitrary output sampling. It is shown that a highly efficient polyphase realization exists for every possible sample-rate alteration
