Abstract :
MAC protocol is of vital importance to the reliable communication of WSN for it schedules the limited wireless resources among sensor nodes. In this paper, focused on the intelligent transportation sensor network application requiring real-time transmission of a large amount of data, a MAC scheduling algorithm based on hybrid TDMA/FDMA scheme is proposed. The scheduling algorithm takes advantage of the data-gathering tree communication model to allocate time slots and frequency channels to sensor nodes, so as to maximize parallel transmission. To ensure non-collision communication, we propose two principles of scheduling. Simulation results show that the scheduling algorithm can provide higher network throughput and lower latency than MMSN and 1-channel TDMA-based scheduling algorithm.
