This paper presents the design principle of a Gunn diode generator with waveguide output, chip Gunn diode device and elements of an asymmetric strip line. Some of the dynamic characteristics showing the output power, frequency and the range of mechanical tuning within the frequency range 26-40 GHz are also presented
