Abstract :
Er-Yb-codoped Li6Y(BO3)3 single crystal was grown by the Czochralski method. The accurate concentration of Er3+ and Yb3+ ions in the crystal was measured. The polarized absorption and fluorescence spectra of the Er3+-doped Li6Y(BO3)3 crystal were recorded at room temperature. The fluorescence decay curves at 1030 and 1535nm were recorded. The efficiency of energy transfer from Yb3+ to Er3+ ions was estimated.
