Abstract :
An accurate and efficient method has been developed which is capable of analyzing three-dimensional, biperiodic holographic power combiners for millimeter-wave frequencies. This method has been subsequently applied to the design of a 65 GHz power combiner which, in a first step, consists of a linear array of five IMPATT oscillators. Experimental results indicate that a power combining efficiency of about 85% can be achieved.
