Abstract :
On December 7th 2007, the CHANGSHA-ZHUZHOU-XIANGTAN urban agglomeration became “nation-al resource-economic and environment-friendly society” (two-oriented society for short) approved by the State Council, whose essence is to establish the ecological and civilized society. The urban forest is not only the leading force that improves the urban ecological environment, but also the important factor that creates the urban´s life-support system and environmental conditions for our living, which maintain our survival and social development. According to the features of CHANGSHA-ZHUZHOU-XIANGTAN urban zone, this paper establishes an evaluation index system on urban forest benefit with Delphi method and some other mathematical models, then evaluates its urban forest benefits by this system, and concludes that ChangZhuTan area urban forest earns 2717210.22 × 104 Yuan in which the ecological value is 1944328.76 × 104 Yuan, the social value is 628799.27 × 104 Yuan, the economic value is 144082.18 × 104 Yuan. At last the analysis of evaluation results is given to provide some theoretical and scientific foundations for the construction of “two-oriented society” in CHANGSHA-ZHUZHOU-XIANGTAN urban area.
