Abstract
The cellphone has a great potential to be used for transmitting biological waveforms for health monitoring and diagnosis. This paper presents a modulation/demodulation scheme for this important application. When compared to the existing modulation methods, this scheme requires no modification of the cellphone itself, can be easily implemented by using low-cost integrated chips, consumes less energy, and supports demodulation on a general-purpose PC without adding any hardware.
