Abstract :
We demonstrate the fast transient response of a nonlinear optical phase-shifter based on a reverse-biased 1.55mum InGaAlAs QW VCSEL. The modeling and experiment on the nonlinear phase-shift show a dynamic response time of below 10 ps.
