  • Abstract
    This paper discusses the application of variable structure control to a typical position control laboratory plant. It analyses the choice of the sliding mode and relates it to the equivalent control regime. Practical and simulation results are discussed of the effect of the parameters studied when applied to a typical position control servosystem
