Abstract :
Three-dimensional model cutting operation is one of the most important applications for true three-dimensional GIS spatial analysis and has been widely used in 3D-model reconstruction, visualization analysis, industry application. True three-dimensional Geo-spatial Model is an integration model, combining architecture models, geology models, underground pipe network models, and indoor-outdoor models. It is the trend of three-dimensional GIS data. This paper use true three-dimensional model for the study and propose an effective cutting method. The method decomposes complex problems into typical sub-problems and seeks ways to solve them. It has realized the arbitrary cutting of true 3D Geo-spatial model and successfully applied to real three-dimensional GIS software platform (CThru3D), proving that the cutting method can get good results and having high efficiency and practicality.
