Abstract
A modified frequency weighted balanced realization method was used instead of the one proposed by Yam et al. (1990, 1994) for integrated identification and robust control synthesis. Instead of using the weightings generated from the control design step in full strength for identification, a scaled down version of the weighting is adopted, resulting in improved performance
