Abstract :
Spatial reuse has been shown to be critical for efficient wireless networks. It is also well known that cooperative communication has the potential to significantly improve the network performance. How does cooperation affect the spatial reuse design in wireless networks? To answer this question, we investigate the impact of reuse on the throughput of multi-hop linear cooperative networks. The reuse that maximizes the network throughput is then derived. Simulation results are provided to illustrate the importance of choosing an appropriate reuse factor.
