Abstract :
Reliability evaluation of an entire power system provides a set of indices which a system planner can use to balance the investments in different segments of the system in order to provide acceptable load point reliability. Evaluating an entire power system as a single entity is a difficult task. This paper presents a network reliability equivalent technique for evaluating the reliability of an entire power system. The procedure is illustrated by application to a practical test system
