Abstract :
This paper presents a novel Hybrid Optical neTwork ARchitecUre concept named HOTARU which combines multi-wavelength optical packet switching (MW-OPS) and optical circuit switching (OCS) in WDM networks; herein, we also experimentally demonstrate its feasibility in a 400 Gbps network testbed.
