  • Abstract
    The paper deals with analytical approach of structural parameters of the stator and mover which influences on thrust force and performances of permanent magnet linear synchronous motor. According to the multi-layers model of magnetic field analysis and the basic electromagnetic theory the relations between thrust force and those geometric parameters have been conveniently expressed in formula. It is important for design to analysis thrust force varying with geometric dimension such as slot, airgap, pole pitch, permanent magnet and etc. Also thrust density must be taken into account factor in service as direct-drive actuator, particularly in servo system. Results in the paper are helpful to find parameters optimized so as to design the suitable linear motor in drive system.
