Abstract :
In this paper, a new tuning method based on gain and phase margins has been proposed to determine the parameters of fuzzy PI controllers with the simplest structure. The nature of the fuzzy PI controller has been analyzed in the sense of gain and phase margins. The nonlinear properties of the fuzzy PI controller with different inference methods have been discussed as well. Numerical simulations are presented to show the validity of the proposed tuning methods
