Abstract
This paper is the synthetic report of the switched reluctance generator (SRG). It focuses on principle of SRG and analysis of the phase-current waveform. Four control schemes whose are angle position control, chopping-current control, PWM and excitation voltage control are analyzed contrastively. Finally, the experimental results of 6/4, 6/6, 8/8 SRG are presented, which implies that this novel generator can operate in a wide application range with some superior characteristics such as: simple construction, high power density, high capacity of overloading, high fault-tolerance performance, high steady and transient performance.
