Abstract
An analysis method to determine the frequency components of an input signal composed of finite kinds of components (i.e. an acoustic or speech signal) is proposed. When the number of components is m , only 3m discrete sequential data sampled over the Nyquist rate of the signal are needed for the analysis. The analysis procedure is not statistical, but algebraic. Input signals can be both harmonically and nonharmonically related. The validity of this method is confirmed experimentally for various kinds of signals
