Abstract :
Battlefield triage is a dangerous and life-threatening task. The growing interest in the development of military telemedicine applications utilizing physiological sensing is meant to facilitate remote triage on injured soldiers. This paper describes a portable wireless setup for comparing transmittance and reflectance type pulse oximeters for future field testing applications resembling simulated battlefield conditions.
