Abstract :
Grid computing has been cited as one of the potential technologies that can offer mammoth computing power in the future. The greatness of grid technology lies in the efficient harnessing of idle resources of the distributed environment, leading to better resource utilization. Security is one of the key aspects of the grid technology. Secure group communication in the grid is a promising area with a broad scope for myriad of applications. Of late, it has been receiving good attention from the researchers. Sincere efforts have been made on proposing a highly secure, distributed, scalable and computationally efficient model for group communication in the grid environment. The proposed G-LeaSel multicast security model caters to the needs of the collaborative grid applications. The model is an adapted version of LeaSel model, already proposed and proven for wired and mobile networks.
