Abstract :
Joint time-spectral vector quantization to achieve much lower bit rates on the average than ordinary spectral vector quantizers is discussed. The principle and used quantities are closed within the theory of LPC so that theoretical clearness and the circumvention of unnecessary system complexity are promoted. The presented theory and method lead to an architecture for a pipelined inverse filter array for VLSI.
