Abstract :
Sheet and film processes pose a difficult multivariable identification problem. Model-based control strategies depend on process characteristics that must be accurately identified in the model, otherwise poor or unstable performance may result. An identification procedure is proposed which provides the required information in an efficient manner by exploiting the inherent structure of sheet and film processes
