Abstract
An examination is made of a slewing link modelled as a Timoshenko beam in a rotating frame. The equations of motion are developed for the pseudo-clamped and pseudo-pinned cases, which differ in the choice of the non-inertial frame of reference. The boundary conditions, frequency equations, orthogonality relations and the transformations between the two cases are presented
