Abstract :
This paper describes, from a basic system-theoretical viewpoint, the state estimation for non-stationary vibratory structure system by observing the radiated noise from the vibrating object, disturbed by the background noise and/or other vibrations. The recursive estimation algorithm is newly derived by expanding the so-called Bayes´ theorem in the form of an orthogonal expansion series. Accordingly, any kinds of statistics of state variables can be derived from it. The validity of the proposed method is confirmed especially by means of computer simulation, since the present study is yet in an early stage and we have focussed on only the methodological viewpoint in this paper.
