Abstract
In starting period of an induction machine for an EV, a stator over-current phenomenon occurs when using DTC scheme. In this paper, the reason of this over current phenomenon is analyzed. By analyzing rotor flux setting-up process and the electromagnetic torque, a method is proposed to prevent the over-current phenomenon, in which adequate torque reference value is selected. Experimental result shows that stator current is greatly reduced and the acceleration time is shortened by using the proposed method.
